Program: Religion and Politics in Contemporary Brazil

Ana Cortez is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Her research focuses on the interactions between evangelical organizations and the State in creating public policy. Ms. Cortez holds a master’s degree in Human Rights and Citizenship, and a B.A. in International Relations and Social Sciences. She is a researcher for the Center for Metropolitan Studies and has extensive experience in designing and managing social and advocacy projects.
