Dear Rochester Committee on Latin America,

I am excited to announce that GHRC is once again offering grants to Guatemalans through our Voiceless Speak Fund. The Fund provides direct assistance to Guatemalans interested in educating the US public about the human rights situation in Guatemala or organizing in their community in the US to defend the rights of Guatemalans living here.

Past recipients have focused on a range of topics including the atrocities committed against Guatemalans during the internal armed conflict, present day violence against Guatemalan women both in Guatemala in the US, and the exploitation of Guatemalan immigrants.
