Message from Vic Vinkey

“I am happy to report that, thanks to the wonderful generosity of 51 people and organizations, this year’s Friendshipment fund raising effort was a great success. Special thanks to Western New York Peace Center (Buffalo) for their contribution of $500.00.  We raised $3,115. which enabled us to provide a scholarship to young local activist, Ream Kidane, to travel to Cuba and also funds to purchase fresh medicine which Ream and I were able to carry.

This was a wonderful way to cap our more than 20 years of providing friendship and humanitarian aid to the Cuban people.  While in Cuba, Ream and I both found  strangers who thanked us for our past participation in the Pastors for Peace programs.

Many thanks to Grania Marcus who authored our appeal letter and all others who helped in this effort.

We look forward to reporting to the ROCLA community at our September 4th meeting.”
