You are invited to gather at the Federal Building on Monday, November 16, from 4 PM until 4:30 PM, to commemorate the assassination of six Jesuit priests, their co-worker and her teenage daughter, who were massacred in El Salvador in 1989.
Now, thanks to the Center for Justice and Accountability, we know that former Salvadoran Vice Minister of Public Safety, Commander Inocente Orlano Montano, conspired with other high commanders to carry out the assassination. As a direct result of CJA’s investigation Montano was discovered in Boston and arrested by US authorities. He now awaits extradition to Spain to stand trial for human rights violations.
This year we will miss the inspiration and dedication of John Honeck, who had brought us together every year since 1989. John, Presente!
